Platinum Jubilee: The Queen's Accession

Buckingham Palace

This year marks Queen Elizabeth II's long-awaited Platinum Jubilee. To mark the occasion, the Royal Collection Trust has appear three displays across the majestic residences celebrating Her Majesty's reign. At Buckingham Palace, the State Rooms will house a display looking at The Queen's Accretion to the throne in February 1952. A massive highlights of the exhibition is The Girls of Great Uk and Republic of ireland Tiara, which was a wedding gift to Princess Victoria Mary of Teck, later Queen Mary, on the occasion of her marriage to the future King George 5 in 1893. Queen Mary gave the tiara to her granddaughter, Princess Elizabeth, every bit a wedding present on the occasion of her union to Prince Philip on 20 Nov 1947.

The last exhibition from at the the Royal Collection Trust will take identify at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Hallyu! The Korean Wave

The 5&A

The rise popularity of Due south Korean civilization in mainstream media – otherwise known as 'Hallyu', or the Korean Wave – will get its very ain exhibition this year at the V&A. Africa Fashion

The Five&A

Celebrating the 'irresistible creativity, ingenuity and unstoppable global impact of contemporary African fashion creatives',Africa Fashionwill nowadays over 250 objects, photographs and textiles recognising the work of designers from the mid-twentieth century to the present. With an emphasis on diverseness and innovation, the 5&A will explore the rich visual culture that has inspired African designers for decades. Following a major public call-out, the exhibition will also run into new acquisitions highlighting African diasporic fashion trends and personal testimonies go on show for the kickoff time.

A Fine Line in Style: The Art of Gladys Perint Palmer

Gray M.C.A will be launching an exhibition celebrating earth-renowned way illustrator Gladys Perint Palmer this Feb. Featuring over xxx original mode illustrations, this retrospective her life in fashion will celebrate a career spanning four decades. For fans of haute couture and the contemporary runway.

Bethany Williams at the Design Museum (fashion exhibitions 2022)

The Pattern Museum will be jubilant the work of London Way Week Designer Bethany Williams in a new complimentary-to-enter exhibition this spring. Placing accent on the word surrounding social and environmental issues, the display will feature garments fabricated from recycled volume waste and collaborations with customs projects. The exhibition will also highlight Williams' work with the Emergency Designer Network to create PPE during the pandemic.

Fashioning Masculinities: The Fine art of Menswear

The Five&A

From the grandeur of the European courts and idealism of neoclassical design to the creative triumphs of mod style,Fashioning Masculinitiesis the first V&A exhibition to celebrate the power, artistry and diversity of masculine attire and appearance. The show will have a close look at how designers, tailors and artists – plus their clients and sitters – have synthetic masculinity. Visitors volition be able to explore a range of looks and artworks across 3 curated galleries, with highlights including outfits by Donatella Versace and Alexander McQueen, as well as photographs by David Hockney.
